Congregational Care
To enable all people of the congregation to experience the Church as a
Christian community
in which they are cared for spiritually, physically, emotionally,
financially and relationally.
Deacons
The Deacons help provide an environment where each person is loved and
cared for as a member of the Body of Christ. The Deacons are available to
pray with people about their concerns and will help connect them with help
that they might need. We are primarily a ministry of prayer. We pray for
needs as they are made known to us and follow up as appropriate. Our
Deacons are Ruth Clark, Hall Crowder, Karen Grant, Chris Koellmer, Ida
Maclure, Betsy Scharlach, Dan Scharlach, Lynne Spencer, Keith Wallin,
Graham Woerner, and Jonathan Wyman. Please call the church office at

Stephen Ministers
Our Stephen Ministry is grounded in the Book of Acts (Acts 6:1-8)
and is described more fully here.
Hospitality
The Hospitality group provides practical assistance in times of need and
in times of celebration.
Church Suppers
We enjoy our fellowship together as we share a delicious
home cooked meal with our church family on Wednesday nights during the
year.
Visitation and Communion Ministry
We have several members who are unable to attend church services because
of physical limitations or age. Members of our congregation visit with
them weekly or bi-weekly.
We offer communion once a month at their
residence to those who desire to receive it.
Financial Mentoring
This is a program led by Brendan Duffy that provides financial mentoring
to couples or singles who are struggling with the management of their
personal finances. Neil Corriveau, Dick Hodgkinson, Polly Kopituk and
Warren Stratton are skilled in financial management and have been through
a specialized training program for financial mentoring. Mentors help the
couple or individual to develop a working plan for their unique situation.

This is a Christ-centered group of women who gather
together to share the uniqueness of single-hood and to encourage one
another through study, prayer, and fellowship. We meet on the 2nd Friday
of every month from 6:30-8:30 pm at a private home in Bedford.
We are currently studying "Traveling Light" by Max Lucado.
If you are a single woman who enjoys great conversation, great food, and
great fellowship, or know of someone who would, please join us!
Call Bev at the church office (472-5545) if you have any
questions, or for directions to the meetings.
Between services, this group of volunteers serves coffee, tea and lemonade
to the congregation adults and children. A small snack of cookies or
brownies and the like may also be presented.
